Okay... I've just bought a brand new main sail from north and a new stackpac system. put the sail and stacapac on the weekend before easter and now have bird poo all over the back of the main... the only thing i can think off was a bird landed on the rear of the boom and walked in the back of the stackpac for shelter and got stuck.... it's made a right mess of my new sail it's all stained /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

As a first-aid treatment for biological stains, especially blood, it is often best to rinse first with sea-water and often this is enough, though probably not for the purple guano we get in late summer.

At my local sailing club we have two high pressure washers, which I maintain.
Two weekends ago a yacht sailed in at high water, and blasted off the winters bird poo off the sail covers ( it was a ketch) and off the cabin top and topsides. I asked if he was going to clear the hull of weed, but he said that he would wait until it got warmer! I guess it took him 10 minutes from start to finish
