hi,
having spent a lot of time rubbing down my gunnels and using boiled linseed oil on them (which made a very nice job i may add) i return to find some of the oil has run on to the white gelcoat topsides. i am finding it so difficult to remove it . has anyone any idea's of what would be best to do this?

Paraffin, white spirit, meths, acetone (or MEK)? Paint brush cleaner (Polyclens)? The sooner you get it off the easier it will come off I suspect.

How about a small hand held steam cleaner.
