After 3 great years on a swinging mooring at Felixstowe we are moving to a pontoon at SYH, Levington...all paid up as of today....just need some decent weather so we can antifoul, launch and sail round from the Deben to the Orwell....not sure when that's going to be!!!

Wimp! :p

I go back in water tomorrow. I usually stay the night onboard afterwards but with no heating on the boat I am thinking I wont tomorrow.

Did look at relocating myself, even a swinging mooring at SYH was far too pricey for me!! I had offer of a mooring at Pin Mill but overall cost was same as the pontoon at Brightlingsea so decided to stay put.

You could launch, sail round to the Orwell.
And dry out and antifoul on the grid when we eventually do get some decent weather.

FWIW: will be away/working 29 MAR-12 APR, so weather's bound to be great.

I suspect that is very sound comment/advice. One year I antifouled in very poor conditions - not as cold admittedly but the AF was completely stuffed as a result with growth appearing within 10 days!

Oh well that's cheered me up no end. I have to relaunch tomorrow, and I aunty-fouled (patches only) on Tuesday, temperature was at least 2deg C....

Felt like it today too!

But at least I am back in the water including a very interesting pirouette as I went astern out of the hoist. I expected the stern to go to port but I guess the current caught the keel and took us round stern to starboard without touching either end so I could motor out ahead. Couldn't have planned it better!! Karouise is now back where she belongs :D

Weather is not forecast to improve temperature wise until the middle of April!

Thanks for that:(
Actually went down to the boat yard briefly this morning and it wasn't too bad....problem was that as we expected the weather to be typical bank holiday weather we had other commitments...so couldn't stay long ..gonna try again tomorrow!
Did see someone out at sea sailing - just with the main up and they were flying (jealous or what!!!)
