Registering a boat in France

Can anybody please tell me what is involved in getting French registration for a boat (Mobo <8m)? Owner would be either a UK resident/citizen or a French National (resident in France).

Any info gratefully received.

What a funny question!..

A large quantity of French sailors are doing their best to have their boat registred in Belgium..

Perhaps that will be the best solution?

why?

it's easier to stay with the the red ensign on the stall!

and a lot less paper work,and cost.
