Refund? What refund?

Is this a record? Having paid a full year's mooring fees at Pwllheli, we left on June 1st - having used two month's worth of moorings (low season). All due notice was given and the berth was filled on the very same day! Have we yet received any monies for the outstanding 10 months fees which we paid in advance? Not even a letter of acknowledgement!

Anybody know of any other marina whose parent company is as slow? The local staff are great, but beware those big nationals!

Agree about the quality of the Marina staff, excellent.

The irony here is that with the waiting list as long as it is you could have probably got your full years payment and maybe a bit more from someone else had it been done on the grey market. I know someone who is renting this way.

We had someone ready to do just that, but when we discussed it with the marina staff they told us that we could no longer do that, as the waiting list never got any shorter. Therefore we decided to help them out by going the official route - a year's payment, then a refund. The company don't seem to appreciate that!
