If that is duty & VAT paid for propulsion (49.15p/l duty+ 5% VAT) - very good price

If 60/40 split - good price

If no duty - bad price.

west coast Scotland(north) 63p, Ireland Carrickfergus 70p a litre. In the local marina its £1.30 I'm told.

Aah, you have a commercial fishing boat?
I suspect the question related to diesel for a pleasure craft.
April 2011 Carrickfergus Harbour, £1-17 on 60/40 declaration
July 2011 Flowerdale Pier, Gairloch £1-07 on 60/40
Aug 2011 Corpach Basin £1-32 on 60/40
I am glad we have a frugal sailing boat.

Thanks for your replies chaps I just filled up at my MDL marina who declared that the price paid was the price they paid for it !

Very good for them to sell it to me at cost but I would have thought that they could have bought it a bit cheaper . ( at a guess the marina has more MOBO than yachts so sales should be quite high )
