Red diesel and fresh water in dartmouth?

Reminds me of the time my outboard ran out of gas in Dartmouth! I parked it on the left of the river, up stream, outside a sort of private jetty/pontoon/ and I think some kind of bar/hotel. And caught a taxi to petrol station! It seemed quite a long way at the time.

I don't know the latest on the fuel barge - we understood it was to be reinstated around end-March but, under current circumstances, that's obviously not happened. We've been buying diesel (for heating) from the Sainsbury's petrol station, which is pay-at-pump.

Fresh water is available on the town jetty, where a spot just south of 'Provident' - intentionally kept free for emergencies/very short term mooring - is usually available to come alongside for a few minutes. We usually seek permission from DartNav before we motor over: the jetty is used through the winter by several liveaboards and there may be a range of factors influencing DartNav's decision to make this available.

I have only once filled up in Dartmouth, from the fuel barge. One thing I remember about it was that they were justly paranoid about spillages. I think it was along the lines that I would be banned for Dartmouth for life if so much as a drop was spilled.

You would have saved a small fortune if you had :ROFLMAO:

I regret I have sold TG on the account of raging arthritis. I am sure the new owners would be pleased to know she is fine given that they are locked down miles and miles away.

I'm sorry to hear that! If you would like I'm happy to pass TG by and and report back :)

Lol lake sailors? Me thinks this is fun to be had another time!

I must thank you profusely for reminding me of the rules and on the basis thereof i have revised my earlier position and claim a Full Lakesailor on the grounds that i was indeed Lakesailored per rule 4 and the OP then acknowledged the Lakesailoring post with a like

I shall temporarily bask in the resulting warm satisfying glow whilst looking forward with great anticipation towards the obligatory 27 pages of discussion that historical precedent suggests any claim of a Lakesailor, let alone a Full Lakesailor, inevitably leads to

Ah, the good old days eh? :D

“Likes”, or similar mechanisms, are not in the rules, and more importantly, are not an explicit “thanks” so therefore you cannot qualify for a full Lakesailor.

Sorry.

Sorry.

I would argue that a like is an acknowledgement and by name is implicit in the act of liking the specific post

Your ball sir

:D
