Recommendations for alli hatch to steel sealant

Hatches leak between alli frame and steel deck! Cleaned and rebedded with sikaflex 291. Apparently I should have used a flexible type. Your recommendations please.

For ali windows and hatches I use good old fashioned oil based mastic because ir's very easy to use and when the time comes to remove it again you can do so easily without having to destroy the frame.

I used Butyl Tape on our Hartley 32 steel yacht alloy framed forehatch.

Leak free so far - re-sealed 3 years ago.
