Any recommendations for insurance for 1967 wooden Royal 3 motor boat. Carvel maghogany construction
Do tell more. Insurers have a reason for not paying a claim. Will you share why they rejected the claim?Don't use GJW. They are not very good at paying out on claims. I broke an anchor chain and ended up on shingle. They only paid for external work even though the interior was flooded as it lay on a beach for two days.
An instance of where a few photographs of the water filled interior before you and the surveyor started bailing her out would have been invaluable?Unfortunately they refused on the basis that there surveyor had stated that no water had entered the boat. which I found interesting on the basis that the suveyor and I spent two hours bailing out the interior while waiting for the tide to have the baot hauled off the beach.
It all got very messy when the Society of Lloyds got involved and proved there was no water inside the engine based on a theoretical study even though I was claiming external damage to the engine electrics and for water in the gearbox that had entered through the breather.

And to the OP; we’re with Pantaenius but I’m not sure if they’re taking on smaller boats atm? My understanding is if we changed from them they wouldn’t take us on again as our 39’ boat is too small!
Hopefully it’s a bad rumour that I’ve heard.Pants (Monaco) quoted for my Mini Cruiser, home built and around .3 your length? Though it was a year ago.
