Am taking the boat out of ST Kats on Saturday morn 06:00 and don't need to be back until Sunday Evening about 18:00..

Any recomendations on where to go.. will have family with short people on board, so beeches, good marinas a short walk from towns etc are ideal..

Taking my boat to St Kats on Sat PM, leaving from Titchmarsh Marina, Walton-on-Naze in the morning. Walton is not to bad a place, you can anchor at the entrance to the backwaters, kids can swim, and only 10 meters from beach, marina has nice restaurant/bar. Walton not too far amusements/pier etc if you like that sort of thing.

Might pass you on the way.

Agree with Steve about the Walton backwaters. You could also try Burnham-on Crouch and the River Roach.
Brightlingsea is a minor sea-side type of place, but didn't think much of it on last visit.
However the short persons may prefer a right hand turn and the seaside of Ramsgate with donkey rides et al.
