"Aily's Comet", a Lidgard 35, 1994 classic performance cruiser, cedar core glassed over, owned by me since 2004, primarily used for cruising, pictured here in the Hauraki Gulf area, only 3 ever built, sister ship won the Auckland-Suva race in the late 90s.

my dream boat

My boat, now called Chausey. 1981 Westerly 33, heading for Porlock earlier this year.

My dream boat is also a westerly,1978 31footer, very difficult to beat as a 24/7 liveaboard boat, space to move around in and to store everything, plus, she is very stiff and seaworthy, sails well with a deck sweeper foresail in light winds, the bow shape is great for the meditereanean type seas,

Now fifteen happy cruising years on, I·m changing my life from sea to river so selling to go motor boating,

Well we've had the new boat almost a year already so about time I put up a photo of her.
She's a 1972 Albin Vega, 27ft, sail number 1583 according to Steve Birch.
This photo is from the Gairloch 'Big Boat Day' which was our first ever race. The wind was picking up and we were in the process of rolling up a bit of genoa, hence the set at the top.
