We’ve just had our saloon sofa re-upholstered with a faux suede material. Does anyone have any recommendations for a spray on protector?

Any kind of "Scotchguard" type product should work. I use old cans of "Supagard fabric protector" left over at work - but you probably won't have that lying around - shoe shops sell fabric and leather protection sprays as do Furniture shops - just need to pick right type for the material.

I have also found several very light coats work better than one heavy one.

I think these coatings work well as long as they are applied properly.

A quick drench won't work.

Several applications, waiting for the previous one to dry first, work best without a doubt.
