Re-gluing inflatable tender transom rubbers

Hi all,

After a bit of advice!

I've recently picked up a cheap inflatable tender, but the transom rubber mounts onto the tubes have come mostly unglued. It works okay when its inflated as they sort of self locate, but I fear once I put an outboard on it bad things will happen. I want to re-glue these, and I have a plan for tensioning them down, but I'm not sure what sort of glue to use. It's a Plastimo tender and its a fair age.

Thinking about using 3M 5200 Fast Cure but open to ideas!

I did mine last year with ct1 and has held up well

I generally use Polymarine 2 part pvc adhesive but old adhesive needs to be removed first which is the worst bit of the job. Instructions on their site or phone them for advice.

If it is hypalon, Bostik 2402, a 2 part adhesive, is the glue of choice.

I decided to try CT1. I make some shaped plywood to go around the tubes, cleaned the gap, applied the glue, and clamped it down. Side one went well, so I'm now doing the second side. Fingers crossed!
