Been filling Calor Propane 3.9's for three seasons, all OK, economical, safe, no issues.

I will need to re-fill Camping Gaz 907's when my boat change comes off.

Can anyone who is doing this advise what connecting pipe they are using, and where they got it. I intend to use a Calor donor, a 19 kilo Propane.

Camping gas is butane so please don't mix. I think propane is a higher pressure in the bottle as well.

I have used both Campingaz and Calor butane bottles on my Calor system so I already had the adaptor.

If you get a Calor butane donor cylinder you could use one as I have done.

I can still use propane - which I prefer - by changing the fitting on my connector to a butane one so it suits the adaptor.

Thank you, exactly what I wanted.

The vapour pressure of propane is significantly higher than butane. Do you know if the camping Gaz bottle is rated to work at sufficiently high pressure to be safe when filled with propane?

Having been stung for £52 at Go Outdoors with their silly discount card scheme for a 907. Would filling a 907 50% full be OK.

Now looking for a discarded Calor butane or propane gas bottle.

Ideally you want butane.
When I refill the 907 from a calor butane I put 3kg of liquid in the 907.
I work on the theory that the last little bit takes so long it is not worth the bother.
As I am not paying any extra for a part full bottle and I don't let the 907 run out completely I am not worried.

I carry three 907s on the boat, one in use and two full ones as I am usually well off the beaten track. The result is that the 907s are run down to empty.

Looking at the Calor web site it would be cheaper to buy a 'new' full 15kg bottle and transfer set than three new 907s next summer and I would still have enough gas for a few refills in 2026. Even greater savings buying a bottle in eBay and exchanging it for a full one.

Thats what I've done last two seasons now. Though only cary two 907s.

I'm not recommending it but you can buy a hose with Calor propane and butane end fittings.
Adaptor hose
You still need to get the Campingaz to Calor fitting.
I got my Butane refil kit from these people and it works well.

If what you are after is a free-flow connection for a Camping Gaz, they should be available somewhere online; we bought one in Malta and another in Morocco. If you can't find one, we made them for a couple of types of bottles:
Get hold of a suitable regulator, old or knackered is fine and a power drill with a small - 3 or 4mm - bit. Drill into the regulator through both the entry and exit holes sufficient to chew up the insides; you'll know you have got it when you can blow through it from either direction. You now have a free-flow fitting

The small canisters are a mix but the 907 and 904 refills are Butane.
It's clearly stated on the campingaz.co.uk, R907 page:
"Additional Features:Gas mix: Butane, propane and isobutane blend"

I might be wrong but I believe that's been the case since they stopped refilling the bottles in the UK and started doing it in Lyon.

It is clearly stated on one page of the Campingaz UK website that it is 100% Butane and on another page its a Butane, propane and Isobutane blend .
I guess one of the statements could be correct but which one ?

I suspect this to reflect what is available to the filler. In UK Autogas is 100% propane but in France and most of Europe it is a mixture of butane and propane. I guess the same may apply to butane.

The result is a mixture of the two, not some sort of 'alloy'. At temperatures below about 4 degrees Celsius the propane will burn off, leaving butane that will not burn. I have experienced this in my motorhome, in which the gas locker is unheated
