Garmin

Nice to hear. I recently (again on advice from this forum) sent my four year old GPS48 to Garmin to have the memory battery changed. I was fully expecting an invice. To my surprise, I recieved a brand new GPS76 at no charge at all! Lost all my old waypoints but am a very happy customer!

Re: Garmin

Maybe you don't send things back to Raymarine or Garmin. I too have had wonderful service from Raymarine and also Navman who repaired my depth gauge even though it was out of warrantee for free.

Generally I find the marine instrument companies are excellent.
