From memory...this microphone lead was a problem not long after the range was introduced to the market.
Getting replacements out of Raymarine was virtually impossible, we never managed to get any.
Your problem will be finding a lead with sufficient wires inside to replace the existing cable, most budget aftermarket leads only have three and the shield.
The original cable was very thin and any replacements tended to be a lot thicker and were a pig to physically get inside the mic case .
The finished result usually looked worse than the damaged original.
For a short while a search of the internet might have resulted in a half decent secondhand mike.
However this still required the dismantling of either mike or worse the radio to hard wire mike lead with soldering iron.
Tidy it up and keep using until radio conks out, it must be pretty ancient by now.
You will of course have to update your marine license to be able to use the posh new all singing all dancing box of tricks.
:)

This brings me back to one of my pet niggles with many radios today ... hardwired in mics ...

It was easy enough for radios over years with plug in mics and satisfy the IP ratings ... some still do have plugins ... but seems manufacturers prefer hardwired ....

Wonder if possible to mount a multi pin socket to the radio - and then plug in a mic ??

In ye olden days it would have been simply 4 wires
Audio
Tx
Rx (probably)
Shield..
But the pin outs were not the same on all radios.
Then add a method of changing channels on the mike .

Plug in any old mike ,radio may well simply go into constant Tx or worse🤔

OOP's .... but at least now you have a slim chance of replacing then.

Is it not possible to plug in a non Raymarine Mic ?? I have various old radios that it makes no odds which mic goes to which ... all work ...
Depends if they have up down buttons etc. Some radios only have this function on the Mike.

It would not surprise me for RM to have a weird wire setup ..... !!

Might be worth trying to find out connections on a Cobra Mic ? They have various functions on the mic ...... pity we are not closer as I have a few mics incl Cobra that could be tried ....
