Yes, and they are pretty liberal in deciding what parts are needed. I used them some time ago and can't remember the details but had a definite sense of buyer's remorse.

I used them once and won't again. The trouble is the price of parts is so high that with a bit of labour repair quickly becomes uneconomic.
I have my doubts that the fee is good value. At first glance (naively) I thought that the price was for a repair whereas it's really for an inspection

I used them, or a firm with a similar name, about 12 years ago. They told me that my course computer was not repairable, but could sell me a new one. Complete rip off at the time, and this advert reads very similar!!

As Spuddy say, be careful! I sent my 2000+ for repair to a company in Lymington, who charge, I think it was. £68 for the first hour or part of ie the inspection! Actually there was nothing wrong with my unit before I ripped off the Bulgin connector, which costs about £15 from Ebay, but was charged £30 for a replacement part. All in all, for the inspection, fitting a new connector and test , and return postage, it cost me £278!! I could probably have bought a good secondhand one for that! So the start cost is nowhere near what you will end up paying.

OK, so this sounds like a waste of time.
What is my next move? The fault with the unit seems to be that the compass is stuck on 267 degrees, so on any other course it just puts the helm hard over.

My experience with the Service centre was good value and much cheaper than Raymarine.
