Rally to Ashmount

Re: Propsed date for Rally to Ashmount

I will bring it up at the next committee meeting but I see no problem in having the forum burgee there. We do our utmost to promote the forum wihin our clubs so any "talking point" we generate the more publicity we will get. In addition to which MBM have been long time sponsors of the rally and we really value their support.
In the old days we even had Claire crewing!

Re: Propsed date for Rally to Ashmount

Joking aside I dont mind having the ybw flag there as long as it flies below the MBM flag!

You never know you may have claire there once more....watch this space.

Re: JAws carrying the flag

Don't want to put a downer on things Jaws but you do realise you have prior engagements for the 10th of May don't you?

I'm thinking of a certain cruise briefing which you are due to be giving (as organiser) in you Vice whatever role...

Could always pass the flag olympic torch style to Brayman at the TVR to take it up to Byron's place though.

Darren.

Re: Jaws carrying the flag

Guess Jaws should answer that one...but I think you might be able to find Rochester without first attending the briefing...

Re: Jaws carrying the flag

Yeah, been there a couple of times, even once in the dark... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Easy... bottom of Thames and turn right, right again, stay on the right and follow the stream around.

Re: Jaws carrying the flag

If you Thames yobbos can keep your speed down to under 30 knots /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif when navigating the The Merdway, the locals will be very grateful and may even buy you beer.

Is that in proportion to the speed, eg sub 5 knots but above 4 = 1 beer, sub 4 and above 3 == 2 beers etc? Thus if I don't boat at all that must be zero speed = near infinite beer? Spitfire please:-)

Mind you, if I take into account the fastes I've ever been on the Medway, and non tidal area at that, I may owe a few...

Re: 30 Knots

I bet I could give you a run for your money though!!

Got enough Impellers for the trip?? (I was at Jabsco all day today!!) /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: 30 Knots

I should think you could - Unwinder tops out at about 12 knots, might be more if I one day find my missing 400 revs...

Got a few impellers tucked away thanks but not doing the Rochester trip.

Might be hearing from Polimar, he needs a new water pump and I said you might be able to help, apparently Terry wants to charge him £300 for one!

Re: 30 Knots

Yeah, no worries I will see what I can do.

Manxman can pull about 14-15knots on a good day, so maybe we could take Unwinder!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Re: 30 Knots

Ouch a bit late, he has just shelled out £375 for a really old fashion pump, when he could have got a better performance one for £93 list or discounted from me.

Thats gotta hurt!

Re: Ouch

I did suggest to him last weekend that he talk to you first when he said how much it was likely to cost. Told him I fitted a new Jabsco one to Arabesque for circa £100 so thought £300 was taking the piss but he thought his was some special sort of pump.

Oh well, his choice I guess.

Re: Ouch

Just a quick bump-up on this event!

Are we still on for 10/11 May then? /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Re: Ouch
