What a cofuffle.. No-one seemed want to take any positive action, other than maybe getting squashed between two boats.

Surely cutting ropes, raising anchors (or setting them adrift) and recovering boats individually would have been a better option?

(and maybe getting the coastguard in)

If any of them had brains, they'd be real dangerous, fortunately they are only a danger to themselves!

Did any of them have an anchor out?

Did any of them try starting their engines before it got out of hand?

Funny how the most at risk boats (at the far end) were the ones left unmanned.

There is no way I would have joined the end of that without an anchor (or preferably 2) as shore lines were impractical. I guess they only ever moor up in marinas.

Can't understand why anyone would want to be moored up in a raft like that. What's the point? Only a matter of time before it all goes tits up.

Most boats seemed to have people on board. Why did they not just motor away? If the anchor wouldn't raise they could buoy it and cut it loose. However it seems the anchors weren't doing an awful lot.
If they were community-minded and didn't want to abandon their pals they could motor the whole raft slowly off-shore.

I took one look at that rip and thought no way would I go in the water even with a BA or LJ. Hmm. best way to end boat? Hop across the other 15 or so that it was still tied to! Even 2/3 of the way through the video the whole lot was still pivoting around the boat in the foreground with almost walk aboard access to the outboard end.
