Radio and English programmes in Spain

We are moving our boat from Italy to Spain ( near Valencia)
In Italy we could never get any English speaking programmes but understand that there are better prospects in Spain.
If there are the odd programmes to tune into we would purchase a better radio.
Can any one advise about programme reception in Spain ( frequencies would be a bonus)

Are there any good radios in favour? ideally something that could pick up weather when offshore

Just checked Radio 2 on my laptop here in Empuriabrava with no VPN and it was fine

I have a Degen 1103, slightly clunky operating system but very good reciever. Will recieve weatherfax OK offshore.

Radio works fine without VPN, its TV that needs it
