radio and aerial matching

I have a 27 mghz radio in my little boat.

I want to replace the radio with another brand.

Can I safely presume that the impedance match between radio and aerial (or antenna) will not be a problem?

I presume that 27mghz is 27 mghz and so a new (although different brand) radio will automatically be of similar
impedance.

Or, do I have to change the aerial as well?

If the old and new units are both the same frequency,in your case 27Mhz, it will be no problem.
What you cannot do is use a 27Mhz tranceiver (CB radio ?) on a marine VHF aerial and vice versa.
