I think these books along with "We didn't mean to go to sea" are his finest works.

The Racundra cruises had me hooked all the way through them well worth adding to your collection if you've never read them before.

Sandwiched with Adlard Coles' "Close-Hauled" which is actually the story of Racundra's second cruise - I have just discovered this in our bookshelf, beautifully & entertainingly written.
