Racor Snapp fuel filters

I am about to replace the fuel filter system and note there is a new kind available - Racor Snapp:

Anyone used these? Are there advantages over the Racor spin on do you think?

Is the whole thing disposable? Seems a bit wastefull. The standard Racor filters seem to be simple enough that this seems a bit OTT.

Unless there's something clever that I've missed, undoing the hose clamps and pulling the hoses off the barbs at the top looks much more fiddly and messy than unscrewing a normal spin-on filter.

Where it is better is that you wont have a messy drippy old filter to lift out of the housing. Where it fails (abysmally) is that you will have un plugged fuel hoses floating about.

you wont want to replace the elements regularly, at 31.46 plus vat each!!!! a As for having 10 in stock for spares, never mind the cost they will fill a locker on their own.

And it says that you can't install them in the engine compartment. Really useful!
