My weeks sailing was excellent up to the time I returned to my mooring on the Orwell. My old ( and I mean old ) beloved Tinker Tramp dinghy was not attached to my swinging mooring buoy. Some thieving b*****d had nicked it.

So beware leave nothing behind when you leave your mooring, I thought such an old dinghy would be safe. I don't know if there is a local boat jumble coming up but if you see a faded yellow and red Tinker for sale with Nuaka on both sponsons then you will know it's stolen goods. My colleague on the adjacent mooring had his very old and knackered outboard pinched about 3 weeks ago.

With the aid of the victim support scheme offered when I called the old bill I may just get over it!!!

Stolen outboard - River Orwell

It looks like the Orwell is a bad place to leave anything
my outboard motor was stolen between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm on 30th August from my dinghy on the river Orwell. I foolishly thought that no one would be interested in an old two stroke!

Model:
Yamah Malta 3hp (colour - blue)
Distinguishing marks:
3 stainless steel grub screws in propellor boss
Non standard rubberised securing pads
Stainless steel grub screws in securing handles instead of pins.
