I totally agree! Phil is a massive asset to the harbour and Queenborough in general. His work often goes well beyond what is expected, and I will try and talk him around to visiting the forum once again.

I'm shocked that somebody as helpful as Phil should have been effectively hounded off this forum

I believe you can turn off private messages which might persuade him back I hope

Having met Phil and used his trot boat you could not wish to meet a more committed and dedicated man. His enthusiasm to both motor and sail boaters is unsurpassed in harbourmaster duties. Come back Phil and please can you tell me if you have sold the dinghies?

The pontoons are now in place, and it is expected the ATL will open sometime in November. The harbour office has been moved onto the pontoon, so all should be set for a great season next year.

So will I but not this year...lifting out next week :dread:

Hope that goes well.

Not sure if there has been a ECF meet in Medway and Swale area before, judging by the number of people that have asked me 'Are you Xyachtdave...?' it shouldn't be that hard to arrange a gathering.

Something to look forward to in the Spring when the 'worse winter for 100 years' arrives in a week or two. If you believe what you read!

Yeah, we discussed this last saturday... we thought a July(ish) gathering for a BBQ on the lighter barges would be good fun, and then, for those that can get the time, an onward trip up to Limehouse or St Kats.
