Feel free, i would be keen to meet, Mike. He helped me last year, when i applied for a ships licence and received nothing after several week, he pushed it along for me. So thats good i can thank him personally./forums/images/icons/smile.gif
But Why i need a ships licence and my operators licence (as i have both you know/forums/images/icons/wink.gif), I don't know??
Is there a new communications law south of tha border that requires all foriegners tae carry the licences, when on holiday?
After Preaching the right and wrongs about VHF on another thread, Brendan! You should Know if i go oot on anybody's boat while i'm down, i don't require either licence. Providing the skipper has one, And i'm sure you do. Right?/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Took H00 sailing .. and he saw the light! Talking about buying a sailboat and doing a liveaboard in the Med now! Ooops knew I should'nt have mentioned paths or flagstones. Have you used your umbrella much.

I was thinking .. you know how light bends around an extremely heavy body .. is Joe Brand in fact a lot fatter than she looks?

So Hoo, is going Sailing!! We have talked about changing to raggies, but deceided we'd better age another 20yrs first, So if you scare me sh*tless, then it might be sooner than we'd hoped!!!/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif
Flipin Brollys!!! I feel a rant coming on!!!
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, walk upon the weak path through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the layer of the foundations. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to smash my new path. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
/forums/images/icons/shocked.gifOh, Sorry, i got carried away there.

Yes, the Brollys, For all they are worth, i might just post them on too Jo Brand, I'm sure she could wear them./forums/images/icons/smile.gif/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

That effin\' cat

Schrodinger himself said, later in life, that he wished he had never bought that cat. During his inversion experience where no one observed him he did'nt know whether he was the richt way roon or not! Said he wished he'd stuck with a monohull .. and a fin keeler at that .. the duality of bilge keels confused the poor old sod!

Re: That effin\' cat

What about Parrahandy's Yachtmaster experiment of 03. Stick a YM in a quarter cabin for a channel crossing, until the cabin is opened the YM could be both alive or dead. Experiment failed when cabin was opened and witnesses still didn't know if he was living or not.

Experiment was a success

The YM tacked itself when the boat went about. But here's the funny thing. When the boat was on a even keel (that night, only when it was parked) the YM hovered 'twixt port pilot berth and starboard saloon berth, surrounded by an eerie glow of green plasma and making a low moaning noise, rather like wind in the rigging of a four master.

The great Paramacschroedinger concluded that this was proof positive that the spatial awareness of an unconscious (or even dead) YM is conditioned solely for windward work, and that it becomes utterly disoriented when heeling ceases. If we hadn't folded it in half and left in the bogs at Campers for the morning cleaner to sort out, who knows what would have become of it.
