Pythagorion Marina Samos

I'm there now for a couple of days while a hoolie blows through. I know nothing about extended contracts here but happy to ask around re any particular queries you might have.Fut coins

I had heard they had reduced their prices considerably and that there was a more positive team on board running the maiina . One point raised was thatsecurity could have been better. The marina has no external fence and any one can access .

I was there about two years ago and they were talking about Setur marinas making a bid however my latest info is that they are not selling to the Turks and that they are trying to bring people back by quoting new rates with a bigger team than the three people that were holding the fort 2 years ago . What I am interested is in feed back on facilities , i.e. repaired power and water bollards, improved upkeep , swimming pool filled and operating , status of hotel , , shop and restaurant . Improved toilets etc

Not having been before, I can't make comparisons with how it used to be. The place is quite full, although how much of that is to do with the gales I can't say. The large hard-standing area has about a dozen vessels, so far.
Power/water stands working satisfactorily but certainly not new.
Hotel is closed, pool empty.
Shop is stocked but closed, for the winter, by the look of it.
Marin bar/cafe is open and doing reasonable business.
Otherwise, all the retail units looked to have been empty and unused for some time.
Showers/bogs adequate; no sign of renovations.
Still no perimeter security fence, nor any staff at the 'security' gate..
Can't compare staffing levels, but they don't seem over-numerous.

From what you wrote I think this boils down to no great change. For all that, I quite like the place, although I wouldn't want to winter here aboard. Suspect it's v quiet.

I've also heard rumours that the marina is about to be sold. I've also heard rumours that it isn't. These ares a definitive statements about the nature of rumours, although not especially helpful to you, I imagine. For what it's worth one of the rumours suggested that Setur, the Turkish marina chain, was a potential buyer. I've no doubt that's possible, but judging by the slow progress of Mitilini since Setur took it over, then so is the opposite.
