My heavy duty PVC tarpaulin is starting to suffer a bit. Some of the eyelets have corroded and some have torn out. The bolt rope has also broken in one place. Anyone got any advice on repairs.

IBS (Inflatable Boat Supplies) do repair patches and adhesive for PVC inflatable boats. Might be suitable for your tarp. It's well worth repairing a good tarpaulin - and your PVC one certainly comes into that class.

Long time ago I improvised eyelet replacements using short lengths of split PVC tubing with the ends bevelled. The sheet was wrapped around an intact section of tubing and then the split sleeve driven over that, trapping the sheet. I think I then ran a rope through the adjacent tube sections, forming a pseudo bolt rope. The loops betwwen the sections were line attachment points.

I used it with reinforced polythene for a dinghy cover, but it should work with PVC
