Looking at some of your postings I get the impression that keel boaters are the "enemy"!
It is a fact that frequently higher charges are made for mooring cats. Whether the boats are 25% wider or 125% wider is irrelevant. I just don't relish being asked to pay twice as much for a mooring. If you are prepared to argue the case every time you moor up then fine, I'd rather be doing something else!
Most people accept that cats are more stable, but, in extremis, they do have a problem of not being self righting.
We all make our own choices. I'm just a bit surprised that you seem to be quite so passionate about it
