Puerto Portals

We are looking at moving to puerto portals or puerto banus does anyone have any pros/cons for either.

Also an idea of mooring fees for a boat 17.8m long and a beam of 4.8m for the year.

I think availability might be your first hurdle, why not just email them both....

You might fit on a 15m x 5m berth in Portals but more likely have to go to a 18m x 5.5m berth. €30k for the year for 15m and €40k for 18m (roughly)

Banus is not great. Very tacky. Portals is nice but very expensive. E40k for an 18m above maybe correct but it would not surprise me if higher. There is no security and it is a destination marina. There are many Ladies of the evening about midnight onward. They used to be Russian but I assume they are no longer there for obvious reasons. Replaced by others. It would not be my first choice but if you want party central give it a go.

We keep our boat at Marina Greenwich (Altea - Northern Costa Blanca). Alicante is popular too (very accessible).

Cala D'Or is highly rated if you want to be in Mallorca (expensive but lovely cruising area) and Alcudia if you want something less posh.

We love Alcudia but it is a bit like Blackpool in the sun and I'm not sure I would want to keep the boat there all the time.
However there is a good road to/from Palma Airport so it might work for some.
