hi there anyone know of any website that actually gives a list of public slipways boatlaunches around the clyde area from sort of as far up the clyde to city centre and say greenock.
also same thing with loch lomjand i did get some info on the loch ones but not great. i have mooring in port glasgow but do i really have to go all the way down there to mooring is there anywhere nearer glasgow to put it in and motor down.
but thanks in advance. a list of areas would be great but i tried again and again to find some public slipways onto the clyde and got nothing.
any help appreciated.

Good luck! I tried and found one at Sandpoint, but they wiil not allow you to launch yourself (can't remember launching fee), or public one near ferry port at Gourock/Greenock (see boatlaunch - but pretty slippery and not a place to leave car safely). I'm amazed that there are no public ones advertised anywhere near City. Other posts pretty much wrap it up in my experience. Haven't tried other website though.

Loch Lomond - The Balloch slipway at Lomond Shores is fantastic!

You may still be able to launch at the old ferry slip at Erskine. Good site as you then have the choice of equally going up or down the river.

slip way has not been used for years, dont even know who has the keys for the gate, the slip on the other side was bricked up about 6 years ago, stop the local neds from getting rid of cars.
