surely auction sites have to start somewhere?

I think its a fab idea, like an all year boat jumble without the "ebay" factor.

Yeah, Sorry....

I mean no disrespect to the chaps at ebay, but the commercial posters who fill areas with tat are a bit annoying (try looking for something "garmin" for example). Hopefully, as this site is so "specific" it will be easy to browse, and all boaty is a mega bonus.

I suspect "Buyer Beware" is gonna be the motto here tho, as hooky boaty stuff is a growing industry, and its not the problem of the host to find out whether the gear is legit. None the less, looking forward to seeing it grow.

Aren't you a bit concerned that they're listing your e-mail address on the site? Bet your inbox sees more spam soon.

Think you\'ve missed the point...

On the chandleryauction website, sellers' e-mail addresses are visible for anyone to see (including computers which harvest e-mail addresses to add to spam lists). In contrast, if you look at something like Ebay, you'll find that there's quite a high level of security over e-mail addresses.
