Trying to find info on this Van De Stadt designed 29ft boat. Any information would be appreciated

HI I looked at a couple of those quite recently. Nice enough design if rather plasticy inside. One thing stuck out a mile though was the very dry nature of the laminate. In other words a very low resin to glass ratio. I think a lot of these prospect900's are prone to quite bad osmosis as a result of the above comments. The boat looked a nice family cruiser but in the end I really would not have felt safe sailing from the Clyde back to Ireland so we parted at Largs. Mind you the boat still sold but i think it's one for sheltered conditions. Designer Van De Stat. Builder Rydgeway Marine.

Never had any sort of osmosis problem with mine. But it has been epoxied from almost new. Have sailed all over the irish sea in all conditions. Always felt safe. Heavy boat for its length. Needs wind F4 to get going. If you need any more info I have the original promo leaflet from Ridgeway Marine. Now Pegasus yots. Try contact Gordon Harris at Pegasus. He built them.

You can contact Kevin Taylor of Pegasus on 01502585631.He will be able to give you a contact No for Gordon or Get Gordon to call you back. Paul H

Still keep my to my point. You could clearly see areas of chopstrand glass not properly wetted out. This laminate was dirty, not waxy or glossy infact looked like layers of straw. Sorry

Hello
I saw your note re the Prospect 900, and understand it is now Pegasus 800. I have one but I would be very please to have a copy of the original sales leaflet that you mention. My boat is still doing well in club racing in Dublin Bay.
thank you
