Duo props from Sealine S23 are showing signs of pitting. I've taken them off to clean up but I could do with an expert opinion as to wether they are good for another year or not. Does anybody know of any such person, engineer or business in the Manchester area that might be happy to have a quick look if I took the props to them? I think they are just aluminium.

If it looks like this, it needs changing:
(propeller has lasted since 2003 ... it's now a garden ornament).

Thanks very much Paul, I've sent an email with the photos.

Mike, I had no idea that company was there, They are very close to me. I may have to pop round there and see them depending upon how bad the news is from Volvo Paul.

Flower Power. I hope the missing bits didn't do too much damage.

Geez, a change is in order well before a prop looks like that, I reckon! :D

It's not quite that simple!

Last season, the three bladed props were "a bit pitted", so they got painted/patched and put back on.

This year, I looked again, and the edges had turned to cheese!!!
Although complete, I could break off those edges with my fingers or a small set of pliers.
The blade edge had lost it's strength, and that wasn't really the case last year.

So, new props this season :)
