Looking for a 2nd hand sail drive prop to fit my Mercury 8hp, 1998/9 model outboard, or can anyone tell the price for a new one. Many thanks for any help/info.

to clarify- you plan to fit a prop designed for a saildrive onto an outboard?
do you have reason to suppose this would work? i would expect the hub diameter and pitch to be wrong and the prop diameter to big to fit under the cavitation plate, do you know different?

Another way to describe what you want is a finer pitch possibly 3 blade prop for your O/B to use on a lower speed displacement hull (yacht). You perhaps should go to a dealer and find if there ever was one available. Unless you have a real problem of getting enough thrust into a strong headwind it may not help you much and will increase revs and noise for a given boat speed. It will not help much against a contrary tide as you are trying to overcome displacement hull speed limitations. regards will
