Help!! I own a '99 Mariah 202 bowrider. It came with a 21P Vengeance SS prop. It has a 5.7L V-8 (250 HP). Its a pig getting out of the hole and top ends at only 39 MPH. Everything I've read about the engine/boat tells me it should do better, but I can actually get skiers up easier behind my old 1978 Mercruiser 4 banger than I can with the V8.

I've gone to Mercruiser's website and gone through their prop selection applet. It had me believing I should try a 19P High Five prop. But later I called Mercruiser to verify the part number and in discussing my problem was advised I should try a 17P Revolution 4 prop. Both props are similarly priced...can buy either one new for approx. $450.

Has anyone had experience with either or both of these props?

Speak to steel developments in Merton, you will find them on www.steeldevelopments.co.uk they sorted me out a nice Stainless Steel prop, I am sure they will be able to advise you.
