There is a nice picture on page 140 of the Vetus catalogue showing you the kind of jig which might be easier than the protractor method.

Hmmm! Sorry.
Mine is the Italian version. It will be on the Prop Page of any version..
Its basicaly a radius arm which pivots at the centre of the hub and a rod comes down to contact the surface of the prop blade. You can then measure the offsets to get the pitch and profile of the blade.

Not in Italian or English versions that I can see. Same page numbering. You still looking at an old paper one?
Get the idea though. One way you just lay it on a flat surface and measure up, the other you obtain or make a jig and measure down.
