Found one that works. Hooray. Velox.

No longer sold in the UK due to some certification issue or other.

Anyone know how to get hold of some?

Or anyone got any other suggestions?

Boat paint.co.Uk says trilux33 is a “viable alternative” but that’s laughable as trilux is so useless I’d rather wee on the props and save the money.

Tried the sea jet 3 pack too . Less useless than trilux but still fairly useless.

Having picked up my highly polished props from the workshop I asked the same question - their advice was to do nothing - I didn't try that but applied Lanoguard wax instead which has worked brilliantly. Much less expensive - messier perhaps as you need to melt before application - sticks like glue and so far (2 years on) props very clean every time out of the water.

When using Velox FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS to the letter.

Oh and do not over anode the boat either - on my Turbo 36 I ended up with zinc plated Velox, and zinc is extremely barnacle friendly !

So true. RTFM always applies. Most of the Coppercoat complaints are people who knew better and didn’t RTFM.
Good info re anodes.

I used Velox (prop-erly if you pardon the pun and RTFM) when it first arrived on the scene on my Targa 34, it was no better than Trilux-33 and for that matter just about every other product I have ever tried on the metalwork....! Velox sent me it free of charge to try it out.

So, I've just been using T-33 ever since, not great; its probably best to just lift and polish where we are in Sant Carles.

However, I am told by those that have AF'd my boats for the last 15 years in SCM that Velox has improved(?) and in their opinion is now the best product to use, so next time, I intend to try it out once again.... !

Mark - I know I should PM, but when can I return your throttle kits - I've realigned the mechanical throttles and will stick with these now.
