Bought a new folding prop for a sail drive penta 130. The hub is far too long the lock nut is about 20mm from the thread. I've two questions. What drives the rope cutter and are there different lengths of hub for this sail drive.

What propeller is it? The drive is taken by 2 holes in the face of the hub to take the heads of the cap screws. Speak to Robin at Ambassador Marine who will advise what you need to do with your hub. Not a big deal once you know what is required.

It's a penta flex o fold type. Spoke with Ambassador Marine they seem to be helpful I'm sending information to see if they have a solution. Wait out.

You will probably find that the raised lip on the hub needs machining off to give a flat surface to fit flush to the stripper and two locating holes drilled into the face of the hub. I have a three blade folding volvo penta prop and that had to be machined to a flat surface and drilled.
