Hi, I have my eye on a 2016 Princess 43 and I was wondering if anyone here had one and if they can share their opinion on this boat. In my eyes it looks like a great UK boat - Also it seems to be a general consensus to get it with the Cummins engine for the extra power but is this a reality? Anything I should be looking into for this boat? Thank you..

You best avoid the Volvo Penta D6 ( if that’s the alternative after a quick Google - correct me someone if that’s wrong ? ) .Good of Princess to offer a better alternative Cummins .
A lot of owners of other marques were given no such choice .
The build quality and if years are added and indeed hrs the owner ship experience are night and day .
As a gen rule in the used market always where possible go for the bigger engine option and avoid D6 based boats …..if you can .

I love the P43 but do you have a berth for one.
Well I kinda move that problem onto someone else plate. I will likely purchase it from princess and I will not buy the boat if I can't have a berth. I'm sure they can sort something out..(hopefully) !

I thought you had a 50?
The 43 is a great boat but the Cummins is a must have , they are no good with the D6 435 too underpowered .

Hi Paul, hope you are keeping well. Indeed we had a 50, which was great but we sold it in 2018 to take a break from boating and do other things. Yes the 43s I am looking all have the cummins 550. 50 to 43 seems like a downgrade but in fact we see it as the perfect size for uk... Easier to get in marinas and easier on the wallet too. We just went to Swanwick this week and everyone seems to be getting bigger and bigger boats!!!

All good thanks , I sold my Phantom 43 some 6 years ago so been away from cruising but the day job still gives me the buzz.
I was in Swanwick Monday looking over a Princess 40 for a client with Johnny Tip , all went well , if you need me to look over anything let me know , and happy hunting .
