Never owned one but worked on a couple, right, buy one after the show there will be a few around as there are now, dont pay more than 200k for one, better buy is the 460 with the later interior and big platform, that will keep you away from davits, give you something to walk on when mooring up and your not paying mooring charges for fresh air. The best engine option in my opinion is 435 catterpillars, the volvos are trouble, the 72 and 73 series are sometimes bad engines, search on the forum about 73p engines to read my input about these engines.
They are a good sea boat, the only thing that lets them down is the small sidecabin with bunk beds in, the saloon is good, most boats will come with a good sized generator and fairly uptodate nav gear, best looking wood is cherry not maple it looks sickly. Good hunting, best prices abroad, one other thing dont be tempted to buy an early one with 380 71 b engines its too underpowered.
Another option is the slightly larger 470 and 480, also consider a squadron 43.

Agree with Paul. Dont pay more than £200k and try to find a Cat 3208 powered one although far more Volvo powered ones were made. I think they all had a 6 kva gennie and bowthruster fitted as standard so look for nice extras like aircon, leather, good standard nav kit.
The 440's supposed to be a good sea boat. Personally, I would'nt bother with the 460 as it's the same boat with a bigger platform so you'll only pay more for the boat and berthing charges will be higher, of course
