The p42 goes better with the older tamd75 480 hp engines though it's heavier than the D6 model, the p43 is a stunning boat, another 1000kg with D9 would sort it but the expense would probably kill the deal.
I'm keen to see the rest report.
Paul,
I may have part of the answer, and am keen to see the report.
You will see from some of the cryptic notes I am involved with building a Cummins 6.7 with power curve which matches that of a 24 liter aero engine for a replica racing car.
The QSB 5.9 was a strong performer as you are aware. However the QSB 5.9 ran at 1,600 bar rail pressure, the 6.7 now runs at 1,900 bar rail pressure with special injector tubes. We have up-fitted our 6.7 with the marine modifications and transient response is now awesome. I suspect it is not the actual torque value achieved but the speed it builds in a 3 second throttle response.
Bosch has now cleared us to go to 2,050 bar, me I am a coward and wear safety glasses when going near the engine when running.
