DAKA you cannot call 1.7 mpg uneconomical surely at around 22 knots cruise , the shaft angle is comparable to any other boat around that size, the tunnels in the 330 help but the 330 has a long fixed tab plate across the stern like sealine 360 to improve its planing length, the corniche does not need this to work well, the biggest mistake fairline made was to put the water tank where it is as this gives its bow up trim when half full, the twin cab had its tank under the large double island bed and improved things no end, the sterndrive corniches are the worst, from memory last time I looked at your old boat it was on legs not shafts.
