The cheap and cheerful Aldi Workzone after many years of regular use has spilled it's guts. In my best practical way I confirmed this and don't think it's mendable. On my round trip to the dump for its trip to Valhalla l would like to replace it. Any recommendations for something that I can use on the boat as well as at home?

I'm looking at getting a battery powered pressure washer for the boat but may not be powerful enough for domestic use 🤷‍♀️

The forum consensus a while ago was Kranzle but I ended up getting a Stihl for quite a bit less money and only marginally lacking in features by comparison.

I have a Worx battery powered pressure washer. Came with two batteries that can be used on other Worx power tools.
It can be hooked up to a tap, or you can put the suction end over the side of the boat or in a bucket. I run fresh water through it after using seawater. Great for cleaning mud of the anchor and foredeck. So far, no complaints.

Judging from my neighbour's use, you need one that will run continuously for 6 hrs everyday to clean 4 square metres of patio.
The louder the better.
Our nearest neighbour is over half a mile away. I was cleaning a tractor when it gave up the ghost. Can't imagine having enough time to clean a patio, or indeed the will to do it.

Commonly in Denmark. Dizzy Too, most of the time.

Regardless of make and model my experience is that a relevant selection of accessories tools and a fairly long HP hose is crucial.

My boat is 30' and the HP hose is 40' which makes it possible to clean it all without moving the washer.

I think a rotary-nozzle (different manufacturers name them Turbo or whatever) is equally important to the pressure (from 100-150 bar is fine). Despite eVilbay offers of connectors and adapters it is easier with native accessories.

More on nozzles:

I've read that Stihl pressure washers are rebadged Nilfisk. It was a car detailing site this morning, IIRC.

I had a Lidl one that burnt out it's motor after 3years and one month. (just out of warranty)
A replacement Karcher lasted a year and a month but I was able to get a replacement part for the pump and it is still going.
I have a 30 year old small Karcher that is still going strong. I suspect the older ones used less plastic and more metal in the pumps and were not engineered down to a price.
If I was buying again I would probably go for a Nilfisk and preferably one with an induction motor with no motor brushes to wear out.

If you are using in a marina such as with pontoon electrics you need to ensure any pressure washer will not trip the pontoon supply. I tried to use my home pressure washer which was 2.2 KW and this tripped the supply. Had to buy a smaller type for the boat so suggest you check out the max current draw before purchase.

The baby Nilfisk I own is excellent. Nice and compact to fit in the car or boat locker. Also the lighter pressure is well suited to boat decks.

Take a look at the new kid on the block, AVA. I bought the P70 Large package at beginning of year and its good. 20 year Warranty if maintained in accordance with AVAs recommendations. Its a really well made bit of kit, uses quality components and has a decent pump. AVA Store UK - Pressure Washers & Accessories | AVA Store If you have Karcher accessories these fit the AVA machines which is a bonus.
