I did once just get an old pair of my specs...take off the shanks and then stuck them in a diving mask...and it did work very well...but looked stupid and made me feel self conscious....sort of , hey look at four eyes !!....instead of, hey look at the fat git !!
You really think fish think like that?

I can't fault the mask. For under £30 it's really very good. Given how far the prescription is from mine (there's no astigmatism correction) it does a pretty decent job. Once under the water you barely notice that it's not the exact prescription.

If I'm being picky, the mask is a bit small for me, and the strap doesn't have a lot of stretch in it. I'm not sure how robust it will turn out to be e.g. if it gets stood on in the bottom of the dinghy.

My old dive buddy had prescription goggles not like swing pool goggles but large and suitable for diving to depth with proper prescription lenses cost quite a bit.
