Prescription Dive Mask

I had a look in a locker this weekend and found my old dive mask has perished. I like to have one of these on board and, as my eye sight needs about -7 dipoters to make it right, a prescription mask seems sensible. Can anyone recommend a good make model and supplier?

I have exactly such a thing but it's on the boat and I can't remember the make. Possibly about £75 just take your prescription along to a dive shop that does masks and the ordinary glass is popped out and the prescription lenses are popped in.

One of the top bits of kit on my boat. Ah! I remember now, it's a TUSA mask.

Around here I understand you buy a mask then take it to an optition who will have corrective lenses fitted or added. Ask your optician. olewill

go and see your local optometrist, he/she should ensure it fits and no leaks, else you know where to take it back to.
now, where do you want the lenses to focus, distance for driving a car, or closer in to see the prop / star fish ?

With a -7 prescription you'll almost certainly need to go to an optician for the mask. Dive shops with masks that will take ready made lenses tend to be for +ve diopters for those of us with failing adaption.... When SWMBO was confronted by this problem, we went to Specsavers who do a full prescription mask service for about £100, which includes lenses to your exact prescription. Looked at others providing a similar service and came up with costs of about the same order of magnitude. In the end SWMBO went with contact lenses as the solution to the problem both in and out of the water.... Hope that helps.
