I think now, if you ask nicely they'll give you another one. Don't ask me how I know...
Personally I think asking for more than two is being greedy, not that I've ever had a problem parking but it does get busy in the summer. If you want your friends to visit or want to fill the car park with family, use the open car park before the barriers. After all I may have a weekends worth of provisions and 'stuff' to carry to the boat.
