There is an old Admiralty chart of the South Holland and Belgium coast pinned on the wall of the Gents in Cullin's Sea-Food Restaurant, 12 Cambridge Road, Dover, tel 01304 211666. I think its dated about 1950 - shows the coast prior to the Delta Plan, or even the infilling of the Sloe. All the pics in that restaurant are for sale.

That's probably as good as you'll get. Pretty much what would have been there in the 30's as I doubt if much surveying went on during the War.

Unfortunately I slung out my father's old "blue backs" when he died!

The Archivist at the UKHO in Taunton might be worth contacting - they have one of the world's great collections (starting with Captain Cook's original logs!) and, whilst they probably don't have one for sale, they could photocopy it.

They've got an awful lot of stuff in there. Given their interest in Ransome (ex-member and Hon Local Rep for Riga) they might well have something.

Also Brian Hamnett at the CA (he's some sort of wheel there) is a Ransome enthusiast and might know of something.
