Powerboat in the cold

I'm piloting my Beneteau Antares back on Wednesday 18th in Portsmouth. It's supposed to be really cold. I'll be inside in the cabin.
Is there anything other than being cold to be wary of whilst travelling?.
Seemingly stupid question but experienced sailors might have additional knowledge that I need to know

Just checked the Met forecast. Its above 0°C from 0900 hours, you will fine.

Just remember that if you feel cold on land - you will be much colder out there on the water ..... I mean SERIOUSLY colder ....

No-one should ever 'jump ashore' anyway ... so often you see it and too many times you see bad result. My wife learnt the lesson the hard way ....

Where exactly are you travelling to / from? You mention Portsmouth but not were coming from.

On a smallish power boat when helming from inside, wind strength is much more of a concern for safety than temperature.
Lots of similar boats been out and about in a Scotland over the holiday period - and it was pretty cold up here.

Some of the best days for winter boat trips are the cold, calm and sunny ones. The biggest issue up here is walking along the pontoon covered in frost. In salt water berth, often throw a bucket of sea water over frosted decks to remove the slippy frost.

And of course good clothing with multiple layers - and a decent Lifejacket as if fall in with all these layers you won’t be climbing out quickly. Have a nice voyage

Stick the heater on, if it's a lengthy journey, make sure you have at least one other person with to keep you company and make hot drinks, you'll be fine.

As others have said, visibility due to condensation can be a problem and the best tool is a karcher window vac.
