Am now a fully paid up member of Albufeira marina. Was told today by Mark at Celtic that the polis was waiting last Sat for furriners leaving!
Talked about fire ext and he will get them done, 15euros each, need an auto one, lifejkts need testing and need some more flares. Another trip to Ayamonte coming on!

Stu,
When I was looking around for extinguishers there, couldn't find anyone with halon replacements and in the end had a 3L manual foam sent over which meets their regs for the engine compartment by having a tube which can be poked in and it can also be used anywhere on the boat in preference to powder, which we have to have 3 of as well. Servicing them is cheaper at the outboard shop in Faro small boat marina. As 30 boat says, flares cheaper at Bellamar (either in Ayamonte or Christina) than pirate John, I need a new set as well when we get back in a couple of weeks. G.

Pirate John? We found a small chandlers at the NE corner across the road from the marina. Is that the one?

Most likely, it's just across the roundabout from the marina road entrance, he's Dutch with English wife. The other one, part of Bellamar, is at the back of the marina, a corner shop with fishing tackle in the window, close to the cheapo supermarket.
